Though closely linked to “The Right to Development”, the Sustainable Development Goals, adopted by the UN in 2015, deserve an own place amongst the Stand Up For Your Rights topics. Why? Because of their impact and ambitious setting. Because the 17 goals are deeply connected to a more sustainable future on this planet, call out for multi stakeholder cooperation and ask for effective, inclusive and accountable institutions to realise them. And because when they were designed and agreed they included a human rights based approach.
